A Daily Reminder

As we all know, we live in a fast-paced society where we want everything to be fast or small so that we can process it quicker and move on to something else. We like to rush past important things such as moments in our lives. We think of them as just another thing we have to deal with. We never sit down and truly experience anything anymore and that’s where the term “seizing the moment” comes in.

To “seize the moment” means to fully experience and embrace what is currently happening. It means to hold on to that time and not let it rush past us. Whether it’s a family gathering, a field trip, a long car ride, or hanging out with your friends, connecting and talking to the people you’re with is extremely important. It helps you form connections, strengthen bonds, and learn more about the people around you.

When you slow down, you can truly see the beauty of what's going on instead of yearning to get past it. So my daily reminder to you is to try to actively be present in the moment instead of just living through it. This will help you connect to and with things and people deeper as well as form long-lasting memories that you’ll never forget.
